Northern Colorado Youth Football Alliance Video Introduction

Making Every Possession Count!

Recorded 11/11/2025, the following video outline’s introduction of the 2026 league.

Season:
Saturday’s August 15, 22, 29, September 5, 12, 19, 26, Playoffs October 3, 10.
Divisions: 8 teams maximum (1st year) for grade levels 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grades.
Results-based scheduling: The season starts with a preseason game. There are 6 regular season games and at least 1 playoff game. Each weekend, teams play opponents with similar points and records.
Early Registration Commitment: July 15 deadline ($500.00) guarantees your team 1 of 48 spots. Once 8 spots per grade fill, no expansion. Focus: fewer players, better quality, flawless execution, clear communication.
Level: This league is for beginner to intermediate teams. All-star teams aiming for national competition should not join (1st year).
Transparency of Costs: Final costs for field rental, referees (5 per game), field managers, game day operations, marketing, and league management are still pending. We charge one fee per team, not per player, to keep costs lower and more affordable than other leagues in northern Colorado.
Officials: We do not assign officials, rather, state approved assignor of all 5 person crews.
Geographical requirements of teams: Northern Colorado based with Longmont north to Wyoming, eastern plains, Estes Park regional mountain, and considerations for Wyoming teams.
Regions: Northwest and Northeast of I-25. Southwest and Southeast of I-25.
Where will you play: Local northern Colorado location; no long road trips for games.
Equipment: We do NOT sell or rent equipment. We offer vendors for teams to get CERTIFIED, safe gear. Your child’s safety is key—avoid used rentals or uncertified gear. Teams save by using their own resources. “Certified” used equipment isn’t always safe.
Game Day Operations: Each field has a paid monitor for all games; scoreboard and field crews are paid.
Rules: Final upon completion with state high school league official assignor. 7th-8th divisions follow high school rules; 3rd-6th divisions use modified rules by grade.
