Sports Biz Network started in 2022. Before that, as P2P Sports, I led and ran the P2P Sports Event Center. For over 36 years (as of 6/1/25), we've offered programs to give kids chances in sports and create lasting family memories.

The SBN is a non-profit that helps children who have faced trauma. Donations support counseling services for families in northern Colorado.

SBN connects local businesses and resources so we can all work together to support kids, families, and opportunities. Youth sports need to be affordable, well-organized, and clear in communication. I’m proud to have achieved this in 36 years, and excited for what the future holds!

MP Sports runs basketball leagues, top business partnerships, and the Making Every Possession Count Podcast.

What officials do you use?

All officials are assigned by state high school league assignors, Bruce Bird and Lloyd Martinez. All officials are expected to be signed up and registered with the state of Colorado, or Wyoming in order to work in our events. Officials are paid per game, including an officiating assignor fee.

What is your spectator admission fees?

We do not charge any spectator admission fees for any events hosted by Michael Peterson, MP Sports. The exception is the women’s college JUCO Jamboree hosted the first Saturday of each October.

What type of competition do you have?

Recreational, average and advanced teams participate. All are scheduled in different levels of play to ensure competitive, yet appropriate results.

We heard your scheduling is the best in the region!, How so?

Communication. I spend a great deal of time getting to know each team, prior results, results in our league play and then do so accordingly to those results. I guarantee all games are completed 2 in 3 hours, or your money is refunded for that weekend, day of play.

Where do your teams come from?

I do not HOST my own teams, and do not run club programs. The only exception is my daughter’s team, currently 4th grade in 2025. Teams travel throughout the immediate northern Colorado region, and throughout the state. In addition, western Nebraska, and Wyoming teams participate in our programs year-round.
