2026 Youth Football League Schedule

Sunday Afternoon Games – Every Other Weekend
Why Sundays are better? No games AM. State Certified officials are available on Sunday’s, and NOT available on Saturdays due to state sanctioned sub-varsity games. We do NOT schedule our own officials, as state assignors have been contracted to ensure all games are per state high school league requirements, rules, conduct enforcement.

*This is the same policy and procedure we use in youth basketball, which has proven to be the single best environment in the region!

Our Northern Colorado youth football league offers divisions for:

  • 3rd Grade Football

League Capacity

  • Maximum 8 teams per grade

  • 48 teams total

Limiting teams ensures better scheduling, competitive balance, and high-quality game day operations.

Game Locations Across Northern Colorado

Games are played at fields throughout Northern Colorado youth football communities, including:

  • Fort Collins youth football fields

  • Windsor youth sports complexes

  • Loveland football fields

  • Longmont youth sports facilities

Additional game sites may be added based on where teams are located and registered.

Insurance Included

League registration includes football insurance coverage for:

  • Team practices

  • League games

Player safety is always a top priority.

Results-Based Scheduling (Fair Competition)

Unlike many youth football leagues, we use results-based scheduling to create fair matchups.

After each weekend of games, teams are matched based on:

  • Overall record

  • Points scored

  • Points allowed

This system ensures competitive games every weekend, improving both safety and player development.

Team Registration

Our league is structured around team registrations instead of individual player signups.

Teams register together and split costs among players.

Estimated Cost Per Player

Based on a $3,200 team budget:

  • 16 players: approx. $200 per player

  • 20 players: approx. $160 per player

  • 24 players: approx. $135 per player

Teams that commit for 2026 receive guaranteed fixed pricing for two seasons.

This makes us one of the most affordable youth football leagues in Northern Colorado.

Deadline: July 15

  • $500 team deposit

  • Guarantees one of 48 league spots

Once 8 teams per grade division are filled, registration closes.

Level of Play

This football league is ideal for:

  • Beginner youth football teams

  • Intermediate youth football teams

Our focus is development, safety, and balanced competition.

Free Agent Youth Football Players

Individual players who are not part of a team can register as free agents.

Free agents may be placed on community-based teams when available.

Transparent League Costs

Our league uses a simple team-based pricing model, which keeps costs lower than many youth football leagues in Colorado.

Included in the Team Fee

  • Field rentals

  • Certified referees (4–5 officials per game)

  • Field managers

  • Game day operations

  • Marketing and administration

  • League management

The only cost not included is football equipment.

Certified Football Officials

All games are officiated by Northern Colorado Sports Officials, providing certified referees for every game.

League rules mirror Colorado high school and middle school football guidelines.

Game Timing

  • Grades 6–8: 8-minute quarters (stopped time)

  • Grades 3–5: 6-minute quarters (stopped time)

Official rule modifications will be available for download.

Football Equipment Policy

For safety and fairness, the league does not sell or rent equipment.

Teams must obtain certified football equipment from approved vendors.

Options include:

  • Renting certified football equipment

  • Purchasing certified used equipment

  • Purchasing new football equipment

We intentionally do not profit from equipment sales or rentals, ensuring full transparency.
